BGS 82nd AGM 2026

The 82nd BGS Annual General Meeting will take place at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU), Cirencester on Thursday 16th July 2026. 

The programme for the day will include the AGM, which will be a hybrid meeting allowing members who are unable to travel to RAU to join online. Members who can attend will have the opportunity to explore the grassland and soils research work currently underway at RAU. This event will be open to BGS Members, BGS Corporate Members and affiliated Local Grassland Society Members.

The agenda will be as follows: 

• 11.50am - Meet at RAU
• 12.00pm - 12.50pm Lunch
• 1:00pm - 2:00pm 82nd BGS AGM
• 2:00pm – 3.45pm Tour of RAU Research
• 4:00pm Close

Booking to attend the AGM is free but is required to manage the event.

Members unable to travel to RAU will be able to join the AGM virtually between 1:00pm and 2:00pm through Microsoft Teams.  Please select the online ticket and you will be issued with the appropriate documents and a meeting link for you to take part.  These will be sent to you by email on Monday 13th July ahead of the meeting on Thursday 16th July.
