Autumn Farm Walk 2026
The Munday family are hosting a visit to Town Barton Farm, Mid Devon on 23rd September 2026.
The farm’s core economic strategy is anchored in low-cost, grass-based production with strict focus on cost of production.
The walk will cover the following topics:
- Business background and history of the farm
- Cows - Breeding strategy, stocking rate, flexibility, resilience and KPI's
- Calves - Housing design, calf management and cost management
- People - Building a successful team and managing local relationships
The farm tour will start at 11 am prompt, and will be followed by a light lunch at 1 pm.
The event is open to all.
To secure lunch, full BGS members and local society members have access to a special discounted ticket rate.
