BIMA's Inaugural Conference Day Trip 9.30am - 4pm Sunday 3rd May
The BIMANC 2026 Day Trip offers a generous experience that includes a lake cruise, nature walk and catered lunch.
Departing by coach from the Radisson Blu, guests will be transported to the North West shores of the famous Loch Lomond.
Guests will board a cruise for a scenic sail with commentary. On disembarking at the next shore, guests may take part in a guided nature trail walk or relax in the hotel near the pier.
Lunch will be provided for all undertaking the Day Trip experience.
Guests will then re-board the cruise, alongside light hosted activities, while enjoying the spellbinding scenery of Loch Lomond. We will return to central Glasgow for 4pm.
We hope guests will have the opportunity to relax and be reinvigorated, renewing the bonds within BIMA’s professional family.

Poster Competition
Entries for the 2026 conference have opened! A great opportunity to:
- Showcase your work, projects and learning
- Earn CPD points
- Build your profile and peer networks by showing your work
- Share your achievements
Successful abstracts will be invited to present their poster at conference with prizes for the top 3 posters, and an invitation to present a flash talk.

Local Accommodation
We are delighted to offer discounted rooms at the Radisson Blu Hotel for delegates considering staying a night for the duration of the event. After booking, you will receive the discount code on your booking confirmation to book a room for £170 for 1 person/night, or £180 for 2 people/night (including breakfast) on the Radisson Blu website.
Creche
Limited spaces available with DBS registered childminders for children aged 2 - 12. Cost is £20 per child.
Please do not book more places than you require, and only book if you intend on using a creche place. See terms and conditions for the cancellation policy. If creche places have been filled and you would like to add your children to the reserve list, please email us.
(Once you have booked your child a place, do not repeat the same creche booking for that child with another family member).

Car parking

Radisson Blu offers a discount rate at the NCP on Oswald Street which is £15.00 for up to 24 hours. Attendees will need to bring their ticket to the Radisson Blu reception, pay the amount and the venue staff will validate the ticket.
The full terms and conditions of your booking are presented at the final bookings page together with details of the creche policy.
* This will be verified after your purchase. If we discover that you are not eligible (ie not a full or general BIMA member with paid membership) then we will contact you to remedy the shortfall. Failing that then your ticket will be cancelled and your monies reimbursed. If you have not already subscribed to BIMA and would like to set up a direct debit and support BIMA, please sign up on bit.ly//BIMA-DD.
** All full time UK students need to email a valid student ID to conference@britishima.org. If none is received or not valid by 1st of April 2026 then your ticket will be voided and refunded.
