Mick Conefrey is an award winning author and film maker who specialises in mountaineering and exploration. In his most recent book "Fallen" he tells the story of George Mallory and his final expedition to Mt Everest in 1924. Join Mick for this year's first mountain medicine winter webinar where he'll be taking a look behind the scenes at how medicine was practised during the early Everest expeditions.

The Mountain Medicine Winter Webinar Series returns in October 2024 for a fifth year. Thanks to support from the British Mountain Medicine Society (BMMS), University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), the Alpkit Foundation and Vertebrate Publishing, these events are FREE to attend.

Like previous years, each webinar will last for one hour and feature a talk from a fascinating guest speaker. Plenty of time will be set aside for questions and comments at the end.

A certificate of attendance will be provided to those who complete the feedback questionnaire. This will be FREE to BMMS members and £3 to non members.

The event will take place on Microsoft Teams and login details will be sent out 1 week and 24 hours before the webinar.
