Petrossian
Caviar & Sake: An Extraordinary Pairing (6:30pm - 7:30pm)
An indulgent exploration of Japanese sake and the world’s most exquisite gastronomic treasure. Discover three exceptional caviars, each paired with a prestige cuvée from Noguchi Naohiko Sake Institute, Zaku, and Shichiken. This is a unique opportunity to explore how the delicate salinity, texture and complexity of caviar can transform alongside some of Japan’s most sought-after sakes. Expect luxury, discovery and a few delicious surprises.
Given the prestige bottles being opened for this special event, the estimated share of cost of the sake samples alone when bought in a retail store sits in excess of £60 per attendee. Alongside the wonderful caviars kindly supplied by Petrossian, we therefore hope you agree that this special event represents exceptional value for money for our Members.
Strictly limited to 25 tickets. The Members' priority booking period lasts until one month before the Grand Tasting (12 noon on 23 October 2026).
Kenbishi
A Masterclass in Maturation & Blending – including a sake blending experience (8pm-9:30pm)
Joining us especially from Japan is Shirakashi Masataka, the President & CEO of Kenbishi. Founded in 1505, Kenbishi is the oldest trademarked brewery in Japan. The brewery maintains the tradition of producing umami-rich and complex styles of sake through sake maturation and blending.
Together with Mr. Shirakashi, we will explore the significance of sake maturation and blending in history. This will be followed by a tasting of five Kenbishi sakes, served in different ways, from highballs to kanzake. The masterclass will conclude with a blending experience, where attendees will create their own blend from Kenbishi’s base sake to take home (up to 180ml). Participants will also receive one of Kenbishi’s original o-choko. This is a rare opportunity for Members and Friends to learn from Shirakashi-san, as well as to blend their own cuvée of Kenbishi!
Sakes for the night:
- Kenbishi “Sword & Diamond”
- Kenbishi Kuromatsu “Black Pine”
- Kenbishi Mizuho “Chronometer”
- Kenbishi Zuisho “Alchemy”
- Kenbishi Gokujo Kuromatsu (only available in Japan)
Language: Japanese (with English translation)
Strictly limited to 24 tickets. The Members' priority booking period lasts until one month before the Grand Tasting (12 noon on 23 October 2026).
Interested in attending both of our Masterclasses? Members receive a further £20 off for booking both! Simply select the 'Masterclass Mayhem!' bundle when purchasing your tickets.
Please note: Masterclass tickets may only be purchased alongside a ticket for General Admission to the Grand Tasting. Don't forget to use your Access Code to get Members' pricing on your General Admission ticket, available to view on the event page within your Members' Portal.
