Join us for one of the most exciting events in the UK golf calendar. This is the first and, to date, the only dedicated, standalone Speedgolf Pairs championship in the world! Those competing as pairs may be men, women, junior (teens) or mixed, each pair should submit a team name ahead of the championship.  Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a newcomer this unique team Speedgolf pairs format offers a test of fitness, strategy, and golf skill on a beautiful  course in the heart of Hertfordshire. Players test their mettle for a fast time and low score! Entries are limited and interest is brisk, so don't delay in securing your place! 

🔹 What is Speedgolf? 

Speedgolf combines golf with running with total golf strokes plus time to complete the round. 

Speedgolf Score = Strokes + Time (in minutes and seconds) The lower the better!

🎯 Eligibility & Entry 

Accomplished golfers with a current or lapsed handicap. Capable of a comfortable 5km run, even if at a modest pace. We do ask entrants to provide their golf handicap and 5k pace times to help us with the tee order as we set off the anticipated fastest first in Round 1. Golf strokes are gross and represent a player's total number of strokes throughout their round, including any penalty strokes – there are NO adjustments for handicap! 

Previous Speedgolf experience is not obligatory but will be an advantage! 

🏆 British Speedgolf Pairs Championship Format 

18-hole course, Simple Foursome format (alternate shot single ball), team pairs run between strokes (on foot - no buggies) 

Fast-paced, inclusive atmosphere – Bring an ethos of camaraderie Spectator-friendly viewing 

🎖 Categories 

Team Pairs can be single sex or mixed pairs. Each pair should submit a team name ahead of the championship (nothing offensive!)

👥 Inclusivity & Atmosphere 

British Speedgolf promotes a welcoming, inclusive environment where PGA Pros and amateur men, women and juniors compete together. Camaraderie is a hallmark of the championship — experienced players often help newcomers with tips and strategy on the day. 

📅 Schedule Player Registration: 

Midday – 12.45 Tee Times Start: 1.30 pm (Fastest players go out first!) 

Presentation of Awards & Photos: Approx. 5:30 – 6.00 PM (depends on final size of the field) 

🎟 British Speedgolf Championship Entry Fees 

Team Entries (per pair): £120 + £1.50 processing fee 

Includes bacon or egg roll snack & drink after your round. Trophies, and bragging rights only

🏌️Golf Practice Rounds 

Practice rounds (regular golf) to get to know the course are available by booking directly with Mid Herts Golf Club at their guest rate, subject to availability for those competing. Once registered we will give you details of how to book to secure the guest rate. 

📋 Scoring 

Self-scoring, both members of the team will present a signed scorecard at the end of their round. The integrity of the championship will be monitored throughout, with roaming random spot checks on strokes. British Speedgolf will administer the timing element. All players must sign a Participant Disclaimer, Liability Waiver & Image Release at registration on the day

⚠️ Refund Policy 

Registration fees are non-refundable, due the nature and size of the event, unless the event is cancelled by British Speedgolf due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances. We cannot refund costs such as travel, accommodation, or other expenses. Full details in our Terms & Conditions, read as part of entry process.
