A brand-new monthly series curated and hosted by multi-talented musician Gabriella Liandu. Bringing together some of the most exciting and diverse musicians living and working in Britain, Gabriella Liandu Presents… is a great way to discover new music in the heart of the city.

Gabriella Liandu invites you to the very first of these unique live events. It is with great enthusiasm and open arms that she brings kora player Kadialy Kouyate and jazz duo Georgia Lee & Leo Morland to this unique setting to share music that she has been deeply inspired by.

Gabriella Liandu is a Zambian-Scottish songstress and curator, known for her versatility. Being raised in the Middle East, her vibrant cultural upbringing and eclectic background is reflected through her artistry and style as a writer and performer.

Kadialy Kouyate is a musician, a singer-songwriter inspired by the West African Griot repertoire. Born into the great line of Kouyate Griot in Southern Senegal, Kadialy’s mesmerising kora playing and singing style have been appreciated in many prestigious venues as both a soloist and in different ensembles.

Georgia Lee & Leo Morland are a singer-guitarist jazz duo hailing from South London.

Georgia’s voice and music are “contemporary, soulful and unconventional with a mellow warmth”. Leo’s playing is “complex yet emotive, fresh yet familiar, and always strives to deliver the rush we all crave from music”. “Unusual and highly imaginative… Extremely expressive and interactive. Situated on London’s iconic Regent Street, Downstairs at Brityard is a venue like no other, dedicated exclusively to championing of local and international artists working in Britain from a multitude of practices and backgrounds. This cosy basement environment below the Regent Street retail and deli hotspot makes for a welcoming and intimate setting for the discovery and enjoyment of cutting edge local talent.

Arrive from 7pm to soak up the atmosphere with chilled tunes and Nyetimber sparkling wine. The bar will be open all evening offering a range of incredible local brands and options.

Live music starts at 8pm

The venue will stay open until 11:30pm so there’s plenty of time to mingle, chat about music, and meet the artists.
