Opening the Dharma Eye

According to Buddhism, if we want to live a meaningful life that is in harmony with reality, studying is just an important practice as meditation. Why study? How do we study in a way that is enjoyable and imaginative? How do we make it more than intellectual accumulation of facts, and into a transformative force in our lives?

Vajratara has been leading Buddhist study groups for over 25 years and will explore with us how study can enrich our lives, using the framework of ‘Opening the Dharma Eye’. There are five levels of vision where we see into the truth of things, symbolised by the successive opening of 'the five eyes'. These are available to us all, and as we open our eyes, we see a new world - potent and alive with possibility.

“Spiritual insight does not consist in seeing new sights with the old eyes but in seeing the old sights with new eyes.” Sangharakshita

Saturday March 29 10.15-12.30pm. This event is for all women who are interested in deepening their connection with the Brixton Sangha.
