This duo have built up a great reputation for Di’s voice, John’s delicate guitar playing, their vocal harmony and a selection of traditional and contemporary songs - thought provoking, quirky and funny. We're delighted that John and Di will be hosting Brunch to ease you gently into the day at the Sailing Club, along with special guests The Hayes Sisters.

The Stockport based sisters Cathryn and Angela have woven a tapestry of harmonies and storytelling into their music, that reflects their cultural heritage. Originally a band of 3 siblings, The Hayes Sisters have played on the folk scene for several years, sharing the stage with many well-known and respected musicians. An evening with the sisters comes with a combination of familiar standards and their own penned songs – inspired by personal experiences, politics, love and literature. Cath & Ange sometimes invite other artists to join them in their musical performances – on ‘3 for the price of 2 nights’ little sister, Jenny, returns to add a third harmony, a banjo and inspired twists and interpretations to the songs; and at other times they expand their repertoire when they welcome the guitar, piano, bass and percussion talents of Oli Pratt & Dave Hadden from The Strines; and at last, but never least, their close collaboration with the hugely talented guitarist singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Clive Gregson, over the years, sees the Sisters take to the stage with a unique blend of original and re-worked covers.
With ‘sounds suggestive of The Roaches and the McGarrigles”, “Stockport’s Everly Sisters!” have their own distinct style, and bring an evening of close harmonies and warm patter. From Flamenco to Folk, Country to Celtic, the Hayes Sisters are sure to leave you with a smile on your face!
