Folk Club with Morag Butler and Abigail Pryde (Concert)

Hosted by Morag Butler of Rossyln Court Margate, is a mix of floor spots, special guests and a Q&A at the end. If you’re new to the Folk Club format – a floor spot is similar to an ‘open mic’ -without the microphone. All performances are acoustic and audiences are very encouraging and supportive. Leave a note for Morag at the Sailing Club if you would like to take part. You don’t have to be a member.

Today Morag is joined by special guest Abigale Pryde.  Whether it’s a tale of heartbreak, revenge or just a sweet love story, Abigail Pryde’s emotive songwriting has all the country feeling you could ask for. Throw in a backing band featuring some of Scotland’s top folk musicians and it will surely get your ears twitching! If you’re a fan of Dolly Parton, Kacey Musgreves and Tenille Townes- Abigail’s music is certainly for you. Having written and recorded with other artists such as folk band Heron Valley for much of her career, she is now stepping out on her own with her debut album under Wee Studio Records.

About the Venue:- The lovely Sailing Club, where you get up close and personal with some of our guests with fantastic views over Viking Bay, hosts some of our most popular events.

Refreshments: Bar, teas, coffees, snacks and breakfasts.

Accessibility: The sailing club is accessed by very steep stairs, There is a small alternative entrance at the side but on a slope.   There are several public car parks close by.
