Gerry Colvin is a writer of great substance—unique and unforgettable. The songs are brilliant.” - Phil Beer, Show of Hands.
Folk-pop legend Gerry Colvin is one of the most endearing and energetic performers around, equally at home in intimate clubs or supporting Status Quo. A multi-talented vocalist-songwriter, he performs all his own material, blending irresistible melodies with thoughtful, witty lyrics exploring love, society, angst—and even Johnny Cash. His impressive musical CV includes co-writing with Alison Moyet, being a favourite of John Peel with his 1980s band Terry and Gerry, winning Best Band at Fairport’s Cropredy Festival, and receiving the Hancock Award for Best Live Folk Act. A Glastonbury Festival stalwart, he has performed there many times and also appeared as compere on more than one occasion. Gerry will be performing songs from his tenth album, Past Present And Crescent, alongside favourites from his extensive back catalogue, promising a memorable night of outstanding entertainment. He will be joined by Jerome Davies (double bass), Trish Power (accordion), Lyndon Webb (guitar), and very special folk-legend guests.
