Our mission is to unite the Indian community in Bromley and the broader Kent region. We strive to uphold and propagate our culture and faith, while also reaching out to often overlooked groups like children and the elderly. This effort is powered by committed volunteers who champion the spirit of community service.
Despite the presence of over 5,000 Hindus in the Bromley area—including West Wickham, Locksbottom, Petts-Wood, Orpington, Sidcup, and Mottingham—there's a notable absence of a Hindu Mandir to cater to their spiritual requirements.
Recognizing this need, BTCA began an initiative in 2012 to create a Hindu Mandir and Cultural Centre, with an unwavering focus on faith, culture, and traditional values. Initiated by a handful of families and blessed with generous support from many within the community, this vision matured into the registered charity, Bromley Temple Trust (Regd. Charity# 1166773).
The outpouring of encouragement during our public consultations underscored the project's significance, emphasizing our community's need for a designated place for faith and cultural activities.
