The Sounds of Shakespeare and Verdi's Lost Score
The Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra presents a historic evening of music, featuring the U.S. premiere of newly rediscovered music from Verdi’s opera Nabucco—lost pages that will be heard in America for the first time.
This remarkable program also includes a 20th-century tribute to Shakespeare, with selections from William Walton’s thrilling score to the 1949 film Henry V: A Shakespeare Scenario, arranged by Christopher Palmer and featuring dramatic monologues from José Espinosa (Take Me Out, Broadway). Maestro Nuzzo and the BCO will be joined by the New York Choral Society and Grace Chorale of Brooklyn, rounding out the program with selections from Dmitri Shostakovich’s intriguing musical interpretation of Hamlet.
