Stefano Giovannoni born in La Spezia, lives and works in Milan as industrial designer, interior designer and architect.He graduated at the University of Architecture in Florence at the age of 23 and, in the same faculty, he taught and conducted research until 1991.
In 1984 and 1985 he collaborated with Ettore Sottsass and Alchimia-Mendini. He taught at Domus Academy in Milan, SPD Milan, at Università del progetto di Reggio Emilia, at University of Architecture in Florence and in Genoa. Known for blending functionality with a playful spirit, his works span from industrial design to furniture and household items, often marked by smooth lines and emotional appeal. His creations have become iconic pieces in contemporary design, featured in museums and homes around the world.
Elisa Gargan Giovannoni born in Pordenone, industrial and interior designer, is Stefano’s partner and wife, collaborates as a designer with Giovannoni Design and other companies including Alessi, Magis, Maletti-l'Oreal, Millefiori, Mr & Mrs Fragrances, Millefiori, Bisazza, Veneta Cucine, Bertazzoni, Marzorati&Ronchetti, Tubes, Viceversa. She co-founded several creative projects, establishing herself as a key figure in Italian design.Winner of numerous prizes and competitions, she runs courses at the Domus Academy and the Polytechnic School of Design.
