HE Bridport Forest Science Sessions
Home Education Science Forest School β 4 Hour Session
Join Bugs, Bones & Botany CIC for a hands-on outdoor science session in the woods at Howards Woodland, Netherbury (Bridport).
Sessions run every Wednesday, 10amβ2pm
(excluding school half-term holidays, when other events will be advertised. Sessions will continue during the summer break).
π· Β£20 per session (4 hours)
Includes marshmallows and hot chocolate around the fire.
These relaxed Home Ed sessions blend Forest School learning with natural science, giving children the chance to explore woodland ecology through investigation, play, and discovery.
Activities may include:
- Bug hunting and ecology
- Plant and tree identification
- Simple outdoor science experiments
- Nature crafts and den building
- Curiosity-led exploration in the woods
Sessions are child-led and adaptable, allowing learners time to follow their interests, ask questions, and build confidence outdoors while connecting with the natural world.
Parents are welcome to stay, particularly for the first few sessions, to help children settle into the environment.
Suitable for home-educated children who enjoy science, nature, and getting a little muddy! πΏπ¬πͺ²

A Consent & Medical Form must be completed before your child can attend independently.
This only needs to be completed once, unless any details change (for example address or medical information).
