80th Anniversary of VJ Day

We very much hope you will be able to join us for what will be a very enjoyable evening to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day and remember the sacrifice of the 14th Army.

To make the evening extra special we will have a couple of short speeches to provide an overview of the Campaign highlighting the pivotal moments, and a moderated Q & A session with experts.

We are delighted Levison Wood and Alex Bescoby will be previewing exclusive clips and talking about their new film The Last Burma Star. The BSMF is helping to raise funds to complete the edit and get the film broadcast on mainstream media, as well as supporting the Charity’s ongoing Benevolence, Remembrance and Legacy campaigns.

This themed evening hosted in the historical surroundings of the Cavalry & Guards Club, will be a really poignant and fun occasion.
