Welcome to Burren in Bloom, our celebration of the wonderful wildlife of the Burren as it emerges into its full seasonal glory of orchids and gentians, bumblebees and butterflies.
The festival will take place between June 7th – 9th when you’ll get a chance to immerse yourself in Ireland’s best biodiversity, hang out with some of our leading ecologists, explore the Burren’s hidden heartlands with local farmers and meet likeminded nature enthusiasts. This year’s Burren in Bloom will focus on the theme of ‘pollinators’ and we are delighted to be teaming up with our friends at the National Biodiversity Data Centre who co-ordinate the All Ireland Pollinator Plan. Burren in Bloom is supported by the Heritage Council and the Environmental Protection Agency.
