DAY 1: MONDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER 2021

DAY 2: TUESDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER 2021

DAY 3: MONDAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2021

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will build on the introductory training day to develop a greater understanding of sensory integration theory, considering the relational context required for development.
• Participants will develop their understanding of the sequential nature of motor development in the first 3 years of life, using teaching, practical activities, video analysis and group work.
• Participants will become more familiar with the underpinning tenets of the BUSS model and have the opportunity to practise examples of games and activities used at this stage of the model.
• Participants will hear from families who have used the model and have the chance to talk with parents about their experience. This will be further focused on their support of the development of their children’s underdeveloped sensorimotor systems and the impact this has had on their lives.
• Participants will be given guidance in the use of the BUSS screening tool. This will be used by participants between day two and day three of the training.
