Lino Print - Shared Studio workshop with Blaise Butler

This hands-on linocut workshop introduces participants to the art of relief printmaking. Guided step by step by local artist Blaise Butler, you will learn how to design, carve, and print your own original artwork.

The session is suitable for beginners and those with some experience, with emphasis placed on experimentation. Participants will leave with their own hand-printed works and the skills to continue printmaking independently at home.

All materials are provided, and the workshop is designed to be accessible, relaxed, and supportive.

About the artist:

Blaise Butler is a Kilkenny-based multidisciplinary artist, with a primary focus on printmaking and illustration. Drawing on Celtic folklore, mythology, nature, and everyday life, she explores both the magic and the reality within each, creating playful visual narratives through character, place, and atmosphere. Blending traditional influences with a contemporary sensibility, her work reimagines ancient stories and familiar landscapes for a modern audience.

Alongside her studio practice, Blaise leads creative workshops for people of all ages across a range of mediums, prioritising accessibility and encouraging curiosity, creativity, and connection through making. She works with public and private clients, including community groups, arts organisations, and local authorities.
