Seaweed Press Workshop - with Paula Lynch

2 free workshops for children in conjunction with Kilkenny Science Festival

Discover the beauty of our local seaweeds in this hands-on, two-hour workshop at the Learning Centre in Butler Gallery. Participants will learn the art of collecting and identifying different types of seaweed, explore the process of drying and preserving the finds, and transform them into beautiful pressed designs on watercolour paper. A chance to slow down and create something unique inspired by the sea.

The workshop will include a further creative activity using seaweed as inspiration, introducing participants to its varied forms, textures and potential for artistic use.
