African Drumming & Sundowners at the Firelight Tipi
🥁 African Drumming Workshop with Kay Smith
Wednesday 5th August · The Firelight Tipi, Lopemede Farm (One Night Only) - 6:30pm - 8:30pm
🔥 Experience the joy of drumming together

Learn to play the African Djembe in a live drum circle led by Kay Smith.
Explore the "bass, tone, slap" sounds of the drum and discover why African drumming is so irresistible and immersive.
It's a brilliant way to release stress, spark creativity, and connect with the people around you. Drumming is the oldest form of communal musical bonding there is. Expect to play, and expect to move: there's room to dance to the beat too.
The Firelight bar will be open throughout the session, serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
After the 1-hour workshop, we'll gather around the fire to enjoy the sunset together.

About Kay
Kay has been playing Djembe for 20 years and loves to perform and teach. She describes her sessions as an introduction to the joys of Djembe — inclusive, stress-releasing, and genuinely fun. She specialises in intergenerational drum circles designed to feel welcoming for every level and every age, with the kind of infectious energy that gets a whole room drumming within minutes.
