We're so pleased to be bringing Allowed to Birth: The Journey of a Global Midwife to the eco barn this November.

This documentary found me while training for my Hypnobirthing Diploma, a knew straight away it needed a wider audience. Following the life and work of a midwife committed to protecting birth as a natural physiological process, it spans cultures and continents to explore how modern maternity care has evolved, and the efforts of birth professionals advocating for evidence-based, woman-centred care. It's an invitation to reconsider what it means to give birth with dignity, autonomy and trust in the body's innate capacity. 

We think anyone expecting, or anyone who loves someone who is, even anyone who is just passionate or interested about birth will get something from it.

Come along for an evening of watching together, with hot drinks and yummy treats available to buy on the night. Grab a seat, settle in, and stay for a chat afterwards if you'd like to.
