Cabot Institute Seedcorn Fund - call launch and celebration event
Share this event
Are you interested in applying for funding to kickstart a new interdisciplinary environmental research project? Join us on 8 May as we launch the Seedcorn Fund call for 2024 and celebrate the success of our previous award holders.
This event will be an opportunity to find out more about the call from the Cabot Team – what we can support, the funding available, and tips for a successful proposal. You can also hear from previous award holders about their experience of the Fund, how it helped and what they have done since. Following the presentations there will be plenty of time to ask questions, make connections and meet other award holders and potential collaborators over tea and cake.
The Seedcorn Fund is supported by generous donations of alumni and others to the Institute, and funds projects of around £6k to support new interdisciplinary collaborations that reflect the Cabot mission to protect our environment and identify better ways to live with our changing planet. Since 2011 we have supported 90 projects to test out interdisciplinary approaches to global environmental challenges. So there is much to celebrate and lots to learn.
We hope you will be able to join us for this positive, informative and celebratory event.
This event is open to all, including postgraduate researchers. Please note that photographs may be taken at this event
If you are not able to join in person, please contact vicky.jones@bristol.ac.uk for a link to join remotely. Please note you will be able to join the presentations (approx 2pm-3pm) online but participatory elements which follow won’t be available.
