CommsCon 2024: Day 1

Northwest Arkansas’ creative community is invited to CommsCon 2024! Creatives, and arts and culture nonprofit organizations are invited to the Fayetteville Public Library on September 10 and 11 for two days of community building and communications skill development.

Day 1 is all about creatives! Full Schedule Below: 

• 10 - 10:30 am — Registration and Check-in
  
  
• 10:30 - 11:45 am — The Basics of Canva
  Hands on Workshop — Bring a work in progress!
  
  
• 12 - 1:15 pm — They Won't DM Your Contract
  Panel Discussion, Lunch provided
  
  
• 1 - 3 pm — Choose Your Own Adventure
  Have a new headshot taken, meet with a consultant for free one-on-one support, get to know representatives from CACHE, FPL, and the U of A
  
  
• 3 - 4:15 pm — Part 1: Writing Your Artist Bios + Project Statements 
  Hands on Workshop
  
  
• 4:15 - 4:45 —  Part 2: Spit it Out: Talking to Others about Your Work 
  Speed Dating-style event
  
  
• 4:45 - 6 pm — Social Hour for Emerging Professionals
