How do you get people to complete that survey?
We'll begin with a panel discussion, moderated by the Amazeum's Jennifer Martinez Belt (Chief Philanthropy Officer), and featuring development professionals, program officers and grant administrators from local and regional arts organizations and foundations who will share how they use data to fundraise or to evaluate grantees and their programs. Then, Rachel Lindsey from Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art's Center for Audience Research & Evaluation will lead us through data collection practices to support your personal or organizational storytelling, help you apply for grants, and meet grant reporting metrics!

YOLO (Year of Learning and Outreach) is CACHE's free professional development series for creatives and arts organizations.
Jennifer Martinez Belt is a seasoned nonprofit leader with 20 years of experience in strategic planning, organizational development, transformational fundraising, community relations, and board management. She currently serves as the Chief Philanthropy Officer at the Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville, Arkansas, where she leads philanthropic initiatives to support the museum’s mission and growth.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has held key leadership roles in nonprofit and healthcare organizations, including Director of Development at the Peel Compton Foundation, Director of Advancement at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Vice President of Marketing at Arkansas Heart Hospital, and Chief Development Officer at Arkansas Foodbank. Her expertise in brand marketing, donor relations, and organizational strategy has contributed to the success of numerous fundraising campaigns and community engagement efforts.
Beyond her professional work, Jennifer is actively involved in community service. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Bentonville and has previously been a board member for the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance. She is also a member of the Bentonville High School PTO and a graduate of Little Rock Leadership Class XXXII.
Jennifer’s contributions to the nonprofit sector have been recognized with numerous accolades, including being named to the NWA Talk Business & Politics C-Suite Class of 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and English from the University of Central Arkansas and a Certification in Fund Development from Rice University.
Rachel Lindsey is a Research & Evaluation Specialist at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. As part of the Center for Audience Research & Evaluation (CARE), she conducts comprehensive evaluations within Crystal Bridges and with arts and cultural organizations nationwide. CARE supports creatives and administrators in using data not just to measure impact—but to tell meaningful stories. Lindsey has seven years of experience in art museums and holds B.A.s in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology from the University of Arkansas.
