Table Talks: Bread & Roses - The Care, Community, and Weird Jobs That Sustain Us

Table Talks is a casual dinner series hosted by The Medium, a welcoming space for creative and community expression in downtown Springdale. Each month, two local creatives share short presentations about their creative process and journey, focusing on a specific topic.

The topic for September 24, 2026, is Bread & Roses: The Care, Community, and Weird Jobs That Sustain Us with Katherine Rutter and Danielle Hatch. Dinner will be provided by Graze Craze.

Danielle Hatch is an interdisciplinary Peruvian American artist based in the Arkansas Ozarks. She applies processes of collaborative making in her site specific installations, sculptures, and performances to counter the rigidity of the built environment and embrace women’s lived experiences.

Katherine Rutter is an interdisciplinary artist whose work engages ecological storytelling and matters of care through papermaking, drawing, and place-based material research. She is currently an Artist in Residence at Crystal Bridges in collaboration with Arkansas Children’s Northwest Hospital.

Table Talks is your chance to connect with fellow creatives, spark inspiration, enjoy great food, and build your community. This series is open to everyone and focuses on supporting the creative community.
