California vs. Bordeaux Battle: 1974-1989

One question that still sparks arguments wherever serious wine is poured: when Cabernet reaches its highest form, does California or Bordeaux do it better?  This cirlce-the-calendar After Hours will allow us to revisit each’s history, open the bottles, and let the wines decide.  

From the 1974 Louis Martini and 1975 Georges de Latour to Monte Bello, Diamond Creek, Lynch-Bages, Pichon Lalande, and Vieux Château Certan, we'll explore the wines that defined two great traditions and the surprisingly different paths they took to greatness.
