🚐 Blackdown Hills Eco Hub Excursion
Visit to the Blackdown Hills Eco Hub to explore how they're championing organic vegetable cultivation in healthy microbe rich living soils, advancing biochar research and supporting regenerative agriculture.
Minibus transport leaves at 9.45am (PROMPTLY!)
🎨 Creative Climate Workshop at Thelma Hulbert Gallery
East Devon based artist Anne Marie Culhane will share from her experience as an artist who is one of the founder members of Culture Declares Emergency and has created award-winning sustainable arts projects in the UK. This session will have a participatory creative element and will help you gain confidence or faith in the creative process being a relevant part of facing and tackling the challenges of the climate crisis.

Workshop 1: Local Climate Action with Zoey Cooper
Explore the ingredients to support grassroots climate action. Zoey, Exmouth Town Council’s award-winning Climate Officer, shares real-world insights that contributed to Exmouth Town Council’s 2024 "NALC Climate Response of the Year" win.
Workshop 2: Community Building Through Food with Craig Jolly
Learn how shared meals, surplus food, and cooperative buying can bring people together. Craig shares lessons and top tips from Mushroom – Exmouth & District Food Network’s projects like Over a Bowl and Saturday Loaf.
Workshop 3: Getting People Through the Door – Promoting Your Repair Café or Community Project with the CAG Devon team
Learn simple, creative ways to boost footfall at your Repair Café or community group. From eye-catching posters to engaging social media content (think reels, short films, and stories), this session will share easy, low-cost tips to help you reach more people and grow your impact. Perfect for organisers and volunteers looking to build buzz and community support.
Then;
Everyone Together – Climate Conversations
Join us in the Climate Café for an informal, inspiring space to reflect, connect, and share ideas. Dive into conversations about repair cafes, rewilding, community action and future collaboration. Wrap up with a spot of action planning, then leave feeling energised and supported!
As this is a great opportunity to network, you are invited to bring along any leaflets about your own project for others to take away. There is some room for pop-up banners. Contact CAG Devon if you'd like to bring one. We look forward to seeing you there. Booking is essential for accurate catering numbers. Bring a friend or three, and make it a grand day out!
