CAG East Devon First Aid Training
Blended First Aid Training: Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 3) - CAG Devon members only!
Following a successful trial last year, CAG Devon is offering a new flexible approach to make first aid training more accessible for busy community groups.
In partnership with Devon First Aid, we’re offering a FREE Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 3) course through a blended learning format.
This nationally recognised, FAIB-approved course combines:
- Approx. 4-6 hours of self-paced online learning (to be completed between 12th October–7th November) AND...
- 3.5 hours of hands-on practical training on Monday 9th November at Broadclyst (9.30-1:00pm)
The course will equip you with essential skills to respond confidently to emergencies at community events and meetings. The online learning section allows participants to complete the theoretical elements at their own pace, covering legislation, responsibilities, and the principles of emergency care. This is followed by an interactive face-to-face session focused on hands-on skills such as CPR, treating shock, managing unconscious patients, responding to choking, fainting, and seizures, as well as dealing with wounds, fractures, burns, and medical emergencies like asthma, anaphylaxis, and strokes.
Please ONLY register if you can complete both elements of the training (online learning and in-person session). Upon completion of both elements, participants will receive a Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, valid for three years.
To support our CAG member groups, we’re pleased to offer funding for up to two places per CAG group.
You will receive access to the online learning materials a month prior (12th October) to the practical session on 9th November.
