Greener Communities Together: Schools and Community Groups in Action
Are you a community action group with a desire to share your knowledge and skills with local education settings but find it hard to connect? Are you a school that needs support or connection with people able to help bring climate action to life in your setting? If so then join us for this practical and inspiring online session delivered in collaboration with Nicki Shantz from Climate Ambassadors and CAG Devon and CAG Somerset.
The Climate Ambassadors programme connects volunteers with nurseries, schools, and colleges to turn climate concern into real, achievable action through climate action plans. Community action groups are perfectly placed to play a key role, bringing local knowledge, trusted relationships, and practical experience into schools that want support. This session is about bringing those groups together to share expertise and deliver meaningful climate action together.
In this session, you will:
π± Hear from the Climate Ambassadors team about what the programme involves and how becoming a climate ambassador can support your community action group to work with education settings
π« Learn how the programme helps schools embed climate action in meaningful ways
π€ Discover how this partnership can strengthen your groupβs engagement with local education settings in a purposeful and lasting way.
β Q&A, giving you the chance to explore how this opportunity could work for you and your community.
Whether your group or education setting is already active in climate education or looking for a new, purposeful way to collaborate locally, this session will help you turn shared values into practical, community-led climate action.
