October 17: New York CAKE PICNIC 5K at Governors Island

On your mark, get set, cake! Introducing CAKE PICNIC 5K, a joyful new way to gather for the love of cake.

Join us on Governors Island from 9-11 AM for a beautiful fall morning filled with movement, community, and a very sweet finish line. Run the buttercream route around the island, take in the autumn air and waterfront views, then celebrate your finish with a slice of seasonal cake to celebrate. What a sweet high!

Every runner will receive an official race bib, a CAKE PICNIC 5K finisher medal, and a slice of cake at the finish. Unlike a traditional CAKE PICNIC, you do not need to bring a whole cake to participate. Just bring yourself, your running shoes, an appetite for sweetness, and your energy. We can’t wait to cross the finish line and celebrate with you!

Run for a personal best, take it at your own pace, or walk beside a friend from start to finish.
