Sustainability isn't just something SAIT teaches — it's something they live.
Join us for a behind-the-scenes walking tour of one of Calgary's most active sustainability campuses. From cutting-edge energy efficiency projects and green building research to rooftop bee colonies and community-driven landscaping initiatives, SAIT has quietly been building a living, breathing model of what a sustainable institution looks like.
This isn't a lecture. It's a walk. Come see it for yourself.
Led by the team from SAIT's Office of Sustainability and Facilities Management, this tour is open to anyone in the Calgary community who's curious about what real, on-the-ground sustainability looks like when it's woven into the fabric of a place.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow for a smooth check in process.
Location:
We will start the tour outside the Green Building Technology Access Centre (GBTAC)
60 Fowler Drive NW, Calgary AB (NW corner of campus)
Getting here: SAIT is located on Calgary’s C-Train line and is a short train ride away from the downtown core. SAIT also has numerous areas for secure bike lock-up across campus, for those interested in biking to the event. We encourage all participants to take sustainable transportation to the event, but we understand that may not be possible for everyone. For those who are driving to the event, there is ample parking on campus (both underground and surface level lots).
