Description: In this interactive session, participants will work through the following:
- A heat scenario
- Creating a CoolKit to take home
Audience: Members of local community organizations who connect with groups such as seniors, youth, and people with chronic illness. Participants will explore:
- What would you do in a heat scenario?
- Who would you connect with, and how?
- What strengths exist in communities, and what might be overlooked?
Why this matters: As climate impacts become more frequent and unevenly felt, all Calgarians have a role to play in supporting community resilience. This session offers a practical tools for reflection and adaptation that Calgarians and use in their communities.
Intended Outcomes:
- Understand practical ways to address heat impacts
- Strengthen their awareness of local community networks and assets
