Lines in Space: Paper Sculpture Inspired by Alexander Calder

Explore the playful world of Alexander Calder and discover how simple lines, shapes and colours can be transformed into three-dimensional sculptures. Using paper, we will experiment with cutting, folding, bending and balancing to create our own dynamic abstract sculptures inspired by Calder’s mobiles and artwork.

This free workshop is hosted by Sydenham Library's artist in residence, Anna Arianova. Join Anna from 11:30am-1:30pm on Saturday 19th September for a dynamic, hands-on event best suited for ages 9 and up. Adults, children, and families all welcome. Young children must be supervised at all times. 

This workshop is free and all materials are provided. Advance booking is essential to ensure there are enough materials for everyone!
