The U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Technical Assistance Center of Excellence for Strategic Partnerships and Systems Alignment exists to establish, build, and sustain partnerships that support alignment of industry, workforce, and education to accelerate Registered Apprenticeship adoption and expansion across the systems. Led by Safal Partners, the Center’s primary focus is to provide technical assistance (TA) on a national, state, and local level to Registered Apprenticeship program sponsors, workforce development boards, American Job Center programs and operators, governors, and other essential stakeholders that drive and inform economic and workforce development policies and programs.
This 2-day online training is designed to equip Workforce Development Boards, staff and partners with knowledge, tools, and strategies necessary to align with and integrate Registered Apprenticeship (RA). Participants will walk away with the knowledge and tools to utilize RA as a workforce solution and incorporate into WIOA and overall board planning.
The targeted audience would be workforce board staff and members, one-stop partners and staff, community-based organizations, education providers, service providers, employers, vocational rehabilitation service providers, apprenticeship related staff and anyone else whom may be interested in better understanding registered apprenticeship programs.
Through this training series, participants will develop skills and expertise in key components of workforce/RA alignment:
1) Creating RA Aligned Infrastructure and Policies
2) Embedding RA Subject Matter Experts
3) Equipping Business Service Representatives with RA Knowledge
4) Serving as RA Conveners
