Join us for our next Innovation Breakfast in February at the Hub on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and find out about new AI tools in health, the key barriers we are facing and how to overcome them. This session will explore the challenges of using AI in healthcare and how to move beyond pilots and embed them into everyday practice. This 

Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly the rapidly emerging agentic AI, is transforming healthcare, from clinics to research and operations. But many organisations, including NHS trusts, still struggle to turn AI projects into lasting, impactful solutions.

Join Professor Yonghong Peng, Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation at Anglia Ruskin University, as he discusses the challenges of using AI in healthcare. He’ll explain why success isn’t just about having the right technology, it’s also about having the right skills, effective governance and the human-AI collaboration.

He’ll also introduce a practical AI Knowledge and Capability Framework (AI-KCF) to help build AI platforms that strengthen healthcare systems and highlight the gaps we need to address to speed up safe and effective AI innovation.

This session will be particularly useful for innovators (clinical, non-clinical, or external), and NHS teams that would be involved in managing AI such as those in commercial, finance, innovation or research roles.
