Advancing Male Fertility Treatment through Innovation

with Saeed Fathi, Chief Technology Officer and Investor at NeoGenix Biosciences

Dr Saeed Fathi, Chief Technology Officer and Investor at NeoGenix Biosciences, will explore how innovations such as microfluidic and artificial intelligence (AI) are being translated from early-stage academic research into emerging clinical solutions for male factor infertility.

Drawing on his experience bringing new technologies from research towards clinical use, Dr Fathi will discuss how biomimetic microfluidic could offer a new approach to sperm selection, helping to improve laboratory workflows, and how AI could support embryologists in identifying viable sperm more efficiently, particularly in complex cases.

The session will build on Cambridge’s pioneering history in IVF, including the work of Professor Robert G Edwards and Bourn Hall Clinic, highlighting how scientific discoveries can be translated into clinical impact.

The session will be chaired by Dr. Cristina Hickman, a Clinical Scientist and entrepreneur who has built IVF clinics worldwide and founded Avenues, the first clinic to fully integrate AI and digital infrastructure.
