Tue 12 Mar 2024 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Judge Business School, Seminar Room W2.02, CB2 1AG
Description
How can climate entrepreneurs balance sustainability impact and financial returns? What are the ways for us to get started at an early stage in entrepreneurship, to drive rapidly scalable climate impact?
Climate entrepreneurship plays a pivotal role in the climate transition by deploying new technology efficiently and rapidly beyond the confines and inertia of legacy commercial interests. Join us for a relaxed but informative evening on these vital questions with Professor Coleridge.
Chris Coleridge is a leading scholar on climate entrepreneurship and innovation. He co-founded Carbon13 in 2019, a venture builder in Cambridge which has invested in 64 startups with a viable path to 10mn tonnes of CO2e mitigation at scale. Having attracted support from Barclays, the European Investment Bank, BP Ventures and ARM, he handed Carbon13's climate mission over to a new CEO last year. He draws on decades of experience in entrepreneurship having successfully exited a business in the 1990s, industrial collaborations on executive education with leading organisations such as Lloyds, Santander, AZ, Porsche, IBM, and research specialising in tech strategy in complex ecosystems.
The session will begin with an address by Chris on his experience and vision for the future, before moderated Q&A and discussion. Secure your spots now as capacity is limited!
