As part of a nationwide invitation to gather, we are hosting a Pop-up Campfire Conversation Local Beacon Meeting at Hazel Hill Wood near Salisbury.

Come and join us to light a local Beacon in this magical wood just 5 miles east of Salisbury, a chance to meet with others and explore our place in this rapidly changing world.

Hazel Hill Wood is a woodland retreat grounded in exchange with the more-than-human world. We nurture this beautiful 70 acre ecosystem and in return, it offers endless opportunities for healing and learning. Amidst the tress, we can embark on a transformative journey, facilitated by the wisdom of the wood.

Bring yourself and your feelings, intentions, hopes and indeed anything. There is no set agenda. We are creating a space in which people can connect in talk and make music (bring acoustic instruments only please). Hopefully some good things will emerge which we can take with us to Campout near Abergavenny in early August.

Timings:-

We will keep things flexible. Arrive from 1.30 pm onwards. Free time exploring the 70 acre wood, meeting others.

Main forum:- 6.00 – 8.00 pm. Meet around the camp fire in the heart of Hazel Hill. If it is raining, we have the Round House where we can still have a communal fire.

Continue as we feel but close at 11.30 latest. No noise going outside of the wood after 10.00

Overnight stay:- There is plenty of space for camping in the wood and parking for campervans. There are outside composting loos. We will keep the Oak House kitchen open till 10pm for people to make their own meals. We will open it up again at 8.00 am Wed. and ask the site to be vacated by 10.00 am.

We have managed to negotiate a good rate for this event (host Simon Wyre works at HHW!). For all visitors, a suggested donation of £10 and add £15 donation if you are staying overnight. Cash only unless donation is paid online in advance.
