Steve Davis & Kavus Torabi Festive palooza!

Six-time World Snooker Champion Steve Davis and experimental musician Kavus Torabi (Gong, Cardiacs) are a DJ duo specializing in eclectic, underground, and psychedelic music. They co-hosted the "Interesting Alternative Show" on Phoenix FM, launched a monthly NTS Radio show, and co-founded the electronic band The Utopia Strong, sharing a love for prog-rock and avant-garde sounds.

Their sets are famously genre-spanning, blending rare prog-rock, top-end techno, quality electronic music, and psychedelic experimental sounds. They coined the term "Medical Grade Music" for the high-quality, "under-the-counter" alternative music they share, which was also the title of their 2021 co-authored autobiography.

Steve and Kavus met at a Magma gig in Paris in 2006. Davis is a serious vinyl collector, while Torabi is a seasoned professional musician and composer. They are regarded for an "evangelistic alliance" in sharing obscure, challenging music to open-eared audiences.
