Make Do and Mend with Denise Zygadlo

Do you have a garment that needs a little darning, patching or altering that you would like some time or inspiration to fix?

Denise Zygadlo is back at Cample for another ‘Make-Do and Mend’ workshop this August - do join us for a relaxed afternoon of mending and sewing.

Over the afternoon, Denise will be on hand to share a number of mending techniques, including darning, patching and visible mending.

Responding to our current exhibition Murmuration by Majd Abdel Hamid, Denise will also include embroidery as a way of mending, and she will be talking about her own approach to mending as an extension of her artistic practice.

What to bring: Please bring along any garments or items that needs darning, patching or altering. There will be a few tools and materials such as needles and threads available, but feel free to bring your own.
