Camp St. Christopher Winter Camp

Dear CSC Families,

Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory to Him forever!

We are excited to announce Camp St. Christopher Winter Camp! We will be returning to Wekiwa Springs State Park for the blessing of the water!

We will be offering two nights of primitive camping for kids in grades 6-12. Unfortunately, we don’t feel that elementary school kids are ready to primitive camps in tents during the cold nights of January.

We offer the following information to help you prepare for camp:

DATES: Saturday, January 17, 2026 - Monday, January 19, 2025

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
Grades 6 -12: 2 nights Overnight, primitive tent camping

COST: $110

OVERNIGHT CAMPER SCHEDULE:

  • Check-in is at 3:30 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
  • Check-out is at 11:30 on Monday, January 19, 2026

SUNDAY:

  • Divine Liturgy will take place at the primitive camp area at 9:00 AM on Sunday.
  • Following Divine Liturgy, we will have a small grab and go breakfast. We will then hike to the Wekiwa Spring where we will bless the waters and kids can dive in!
  • We will have a cook out after the blessing of the waters.
  • The afternoon will include more hiking and a craft.
  • Campers will cook all their meals and enjoy a camp fires.
  • The cost for the day camper includes all meals, snacks, and the afternoon craft activity.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Tents! Campers are expected to bring their tents. If you don’t have one, please let us know when you fill out the registration form. We will have space to buddy up. We will separate male and female sleeping areas. Females may share a tent with other females; males may share a tent with other males. Our counselors will not be sleeping in tents with the students.

MEALS: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be cooked by the campers and cooked outside. Special requests related to allergies or dietary needs should be noted at registration and referred to Patrick Prentice.

ACTIVITIES: Camp will include a lot of cooking meals, building fires, hiking, craft activities, and keeping warm in the blustery, cold mid-winter.

WORSHIP & TEACHING: The day begins and ends with prayer. Around our campfire we will have led discussions. Sunday will include Divine Liturgy and a blessing of the waters for Theophany in which the kids may choose to dive for the cross. Our Camp St. Christopher campers will return home with a deeper knowledge of their faith and renewed fellowship with other members of the body of Christ.

HEALTH: We have a first aid certified counselor who will oversee medications and treat various bumps and bruises.

INSURANCE: All campers should be covered by their family policy. Any medical costs incurred by the Camp are ultimately the responsibility of the camper’s legal guardians and those costs will be billed accordingly.

IS THIS TRIP RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD?

This is a decision that only you and your child can make together. We may encounter VERY COLD weather. We may also encounter wonderfully, beautiful weather! We have age limits on this camp because we realize that primitive camping is not for everyone.

WHAT IF I REGISTER AND CANNOT MAKE?

  • If you register and cannot make it, we can credit your costs to summer camp.

ARE YOU LOOKING TO GET INVOLVED?

  • Volunteer: We are always looking for volunteers to assist with camp planning, chaperoning, and administration. We have roles that don’t include physically coming to camp. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to Patrick Prentice (patrickmprentice@gmail.com).

It is our prayer that this camp experience will draw our youth closer to God, so that they would be transformed by His presence in their lives!
