Tutor: Angela Hillier
Angela originally studied Design Publicity and Display in the UK. She is a founding member of the CCS and has tutored Calligraphy for 35 years. Angela is the nominated Scribe for the visitors books for the Governor-General, Prime Minister and various other ACT and Federal Government tomes. Angela enjoys all scripts, but loves the freedom of the Ruling Pen.
Description:
In this workshop, we will put the Ruling Pen through it’s paces- and some of them fast!!
Material list:
- Pens: a Ruling Pen. **If you intend to purchase one, please see the attached message regarding tine length.
- Pencils: HB lead pencil
- Brushes: x3 small mixing brushes
- Gouache: x3 colours of gouache ready for use
- Water Jar: x2 small jars along with demineralised water,
- Papers: all below required:
(i) practice paper any size
(ii) x3-6 sheets of good A4 (or larger) watercolour paper, 200gsm+. Can be smooth or slightly rough texture.
(iii) small piece of towelling or paper towel - Other: Ruler, drawing board, sharp blade and cutting mat
