By 2030, there will be around 1 million people of working age living with cancer in the UK. 85% of people with cancer who were employed when diagnosed, say it was important for them to continue work after diagnosis. (Source: Macmillan)

Cancer Support UK are experts in communicating about cancer.

This half-day course is available both online and in person for groups of five to fourteen participants. The session is delivered by Cancer Support UK trainers who have extensive experience delivering cancer information to a wide range of audiences.

Course outcomes:

  • Understand how cancer develops, common treatments and their side effects
  • Provide emotional support to those impacted by cancer
  • Confidently navigate sensitive conversations about cancer
  • Cultivate coping strategies to build inner resilience and self-care while providing support to others

With the understanding and practical skills gained from this course, your Ambassadors will be equipped to provide meaningful support. They will ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
