You love your work. It’s your passion. You love leading groups in joyous song, creating joyful and relational moments, and bringing meaning and relevance to prayer and educational settings.

But - does this resonate with you?

• I’m shy about money - it feels weird and uncomfortable to talk about. I hate negotiating and money conversations.

• I don’t want to upset them - I should be grateful I get paid to do what I love. Or: I get so much joy and purpose out of doing this. They are paying me to do what I love. That should be enough, right?

• I know I undercharge, but I don’t know what to do about it. Or: I’ve been told by friends and family I undercharge, but I can’t bring myself to charge more.

• I can’t ask my synagogue for more. I love them / they have no money / they have what they have in their budget / they are a small non-profit / they are struggling / I’m a member / It’s my contribution to the Jewish world.

Join Jewish songleader Rory Michelle Sullivan and Wealth Consciousness Coach Candis Fox for a two-part workshop designed to plant the seeds of transformation towards a shared financial reality where there’s more possibilities than we thought, especially together.

You will:

• Share your struggles and wins, hear from others, and learn from each other all while being held and seen in community

• Receive tools to support new awareness and behavior around how much you charge

• Play with what it would feel like to ask for more, earn more, and have it feel joyful and reciprocally beneficial

• Be supported to take ACTION in between our sessions and beyond

Your commitment:

• Attendance at both workshops (Thurs Dec 3 & Thurs March 4, 7-9pm EST)

• Openness to share your experiences – the struggles and the wins – in community

• Willingness to talk about money, range of rates, and expenses in concrete numbers

• Participation in an anonymous survey of Jewish songleaders on your current rates

• Intention to practice presence so we can all heal better

• Commitment to implement what you learn to raise us all up together

You receive:

• Two 2 hour workshops with time in between to implement what you learn

• Insights into your current relationship to money through archetypes based on ancestral and inherited patterns (behaviors, feelings, and belief systems)

• Tools to assess how much to charge per gig and feel good about it

• Rate survey results of Jewish songleaders to better understand the current market (note: this will also be available outside of this workshop)

• Language for handling rate conversations with more confidence, clarity, and honesty while honoring the relationships you have with the communities you serve

• Community: get plugged into a group of friends, peers, and colleagues who are interested in collectively organizing to create community norms and practices around rates for Jewish musicians within the Jewish music world. Maybe even become the start of a movement!

Q: Wait, am I signing up for 1 or 2 days?

A: 2! This is a two-part workshop. The price includes attendance for both dates, Dec. 3rd and March 4th from 7-9 EST.

Q: I’m not a Jewish songleader, but this resonates with me! Can I join?

A: If you’re a gig worker who leads Jewish music, ritual, educational or other programming, yes! Please join us - this will be relevant. For those working outside of the Jewish community, we are scheming future programming - please be in touch with us at candis@howtobewithmoney.com.

Q: I’m brand new to songleading / I’ve been doing this for 50 years / I’m somewhere in between. Is this for me?

A: If the topics resonate with you, and you feel curious or called to join, yes! Whether you’re brand new and want to start off with more confidence, are decades in and have wisdom to share, fall somewhere in between and have current struggles, hard-won lessons, and great insights, or simply want to talk about these topics with friends, colleagues, and peers, we all have a lot to learn and give. This workshop will be richer with you, please join us!

Q: I’m not available for one of those dates. Can I still join?

A: You will get much out of the Dec 4 workshop only, though the work (and results) will be deeper with the integration and reflection on March 4. If you can only attend the March 4 date, email us at candis@howtobewithmoney.com for future offerings. Obviously, if an emergency comes up, we understand!

Q: Will you be recording this? If I miss one, can I get a recording?

A: We will record the group conversations and not breakout rooms. You will receive a recording within a week of each workshop, then have 3 months after the last session of the workshop to watch the recordings. These videos may be later available on our websites for paid and/or promotional download.

Q: How transformational will this be?

A: As much as you’re willing to put in the effort. We’ll provide suggestions, frameworks, tools, and support for action, integration, and reflection. But it will be up to you to implement it.

Q: You mentioned ancestral patterns. How deep does this work go?
