Turn your goat tour into a full afternoon outing.

Arrive 90 minutes before the 1:00 PM tour to relax, cook out, and enjoy extra time around the goats. Your group can use the picnic table, fire up the grill, play yard games, and browse the farm store before joining the guided goat walk.

What to Expect

Your guide — Scott or Nancy — will welcome you to the herd and share what life is like for goats on a mountain farm.

The fun begins when the goats are released from their pen and eagerly head out for their walk. You'll stroll the property alongside them as they roam freely around you, exploring, greeting visitors, and occasionally stopping for attention.

After the walk, you'll step inside the goat yard where the interaction continues — giving you time to pet, brush, feed, and even hug some very friendly goats.

It’s a relaxed, hands-on experience that’s as educational as it is fun.

Located just outside Murphy, North Carolina, Candy Mountain Goat Farm is a peaceful six-acre mountain retreat run by hosts Scott and Nancy.

The farm was created as a place where visitors can slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy the simple joy of spending time with animals. Our friendly herd of Nigerian Dwarf and Dwarf Nubian goats loves meeting visitors and sharing their curious, playful personalities.
