Contours concert brings together two composers who hear the world in completely different ways: Ryuichi Sakamoto, who treats sound as a living trace shaped by time and space, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky, who reveals human emotion through powerful narrative and musical drama.

Listen for how Sakamoto’s tones emerge and dissolve within the church’s resonance, and how silence becomes part of the music rather than its absence. The evening invites you to hear two answers to the same question:
