A NIGHT IN HAVANA & SAN JUAN – The music of Cuba and Puerto Rico

Join us as we pay tribute to the infectious rhythms of Cuba and Puerto Rico during our event called, “Las Dos Alas” A Night in Havana & San Juan. ***You do not want to miss this epic dance event.

Based on a poem focusing on the premise that Cuba and Puerto Rico are 2 wings of the same bird. You will hear many exciting tunes as we present the live band, GRUPO SON DE MI TIERRA, a 4-piece ensemble representing classic Cuban rhythms like son, son montuno, guajira, guaracha, etc. originally popularized by Buena Vista Social Club, Beny More, and others. Song selections include “Dos Gardenias”, “Candela”, “Manicero” and more.

Additionally, DJ Nancy Alonso will provide pre-recorded Salsa selections by Puerto Rican artists, such as Ray Barretto, Ismael Rivera, El Gran Combo, Hector LaVoe, Marc Anthony, and others. Song selections include “Guarare”, “Incomprendido”, “Arroz Con Habichuela”, “Periodico de Ayer”, “Nadie Como Ella” and more.

There are two parking lots close-by. One is on the East side of our building & the other is on the West side of Vincennes Blvd. in the next shopping center. Usually, it is easier to find a space in this lot.
