CCCO presents Bridge & Britten

Join us as we kick off season six with a magnificent program for strings, featuring Benjamin Britten's Variations on a Theme by Frank Bridge. The composition classes which Britten undertook with Frank Bridge arguably influenced the early growth of his style more than anything else. The Variations stand not just as a unique tribute to teacher by pupil, but also as a fascinating insight into the musical personality of the developing composer. In parallel, the CCCO will also perform music of Frank Bridge, and Arvo Pärt's Cantus in Memoriam of Benjamin Britten.
