The Learn to Row course will introduce you to the proper technique of sweep rowing (one oar per person). Class is limited to 8 students. Cost for the Learn To Row program is $300.*

The course schedule will be as follows (Students must attend all three classes):
Thursday September 14, 5:30PM - 7:30PM: 
    On-land only session
Saturday September 16, 8:00AM - Noon:  
    On-the-water training
Sunday September 17, 8:00AM - Noon:
    On-the-water training

*In addition to the three mandatory classes, the session fee also includes 4 weeks of coached novice practices. These practices are offered to students in the 4-week window immediately following the mandatory classes. You are not required to attend these coached novice practices but are strongly encouraged to attend as many as you can.

September 18 - October 15, 2023 Novice Practices:
Novice practices generally occur on Thursday 6:00-7:30AM, Saturday 8:00-9:30AM, and Sunday 7:00-8:30AM

The class itself is not designed to be physically strenuous, however you must have a reasonable level of fitness to participate.
Students must be able to: 

• lift 35 - 40 pounds overhead (to help carry the boat)
• perform a full squat in order to get into, get out of, and lift the boat
• swim or tread water for 20 minutes

Rowing is a team sport. Signing up to participate requires your full commitment to show up on time and participate.

 There will be NO REFUNDS for cancellations made 7 days or less prior to the start of the session. If you register and are then unable to attend for any reason, please contact us at info@CapeFearRiverRowingClub.com so that we may find a substitute for your seat.
